I was born in October of 2015 nice to see my mom's old car

Looks like demons walking around in the storm.

It’s strange looking at my hometown with all of the tornado damage. Being too young to remember the experience or the rebuilding process. I can only tell it’s home by the buildings that weren’t affected. However it is nice to know how well the town was rebuilt after the tornado.

I remember this when it happened but I thankfully didn’t live in flooded areas. The only one I saw was a parking lot being flooded on state street picking a friend up from work.

175 mph was Katrina’s estimated wind speed at landfall. I’m a survivor from Gulfport, MS. I was 9 years old I’ll never forget when the eyewall hit everything went completely white you could see nothing outside. I wouldn’t be surprised if the winds were higher than 175mph. Because we evacuated from our home on the coastline over to the north side of the railroad tracks from the beach to my auntie’s apartment. Katrina’s winds were so strong in the eyewall onslaught that she shifted my auntie’s apartment off of its second story slab. So that give you a sense of how strong that storm was. Being on the east side of a Hurricane is the worst side so I say New Orleans was definitely spared and lucky. A levees break vs 175 mph winds and a storm surge as high as a four story building.

Yeah, I saw the first one around Montrose... but then got it for sure east of Clinton on hwy 7 for a couple min with dirt debris in a field around 7:37pm. RFD was STRONG on that bridge heading up into Clinton. Good local chase for me. Left at 4:30pm from Sedalia and back home by 8:30pm. Awesome video!

I've been through a few hurricanes in my time, a handful of twos, one three, but absolutely none of them could be compared to Michael. We went through the eye of it when it passed, and I'll say this much, there is nothing, absolutely nothing as eerie as walking outside in the Eye of a cat 5 hurricane. Everything's dyed copper from the clouds overhead, and there's not a single sound to be heard. That period lasted for almost fifteen minutes before the other side of the storm started crossing overhead. We got so, so, so lucky that we didn't lose anything major. Our house was safe, our animals safe, and my family was safe. Seeing the images of Mexico beach in the aftermath was insane, it looked like some giant just slapped their hand down on one side and swept it all away.
